Sharpening stones by LASCOD are to be used for manual sharpening. As natural stones they may present veins and variations in colour. Use medium- grain stones to sharpen blunt instruments or incorrectly sharpened instruments.
After using medium-grain stones, then polish instrument with fine-grain stones. Use fine-grain stones to preserve the sharpening or remove small burrs. Using a few drops of oil on the stone while sharpening is recommended.
During the sharpening of the instruments the removed metal debris may clog the pores of the stones. It is recommended to clean the stones periodically by rubbing of a few drops of lubricating oil upon the surface of the stone.
Remove the metal debris with dry gauze. It is recommended to clean the stones with ultrasonic or with a non-metallic brush before carrying out any sterilization procedures.
